    Upcycling the new Recycling

Not so long ago 'recycling' was a buzz word. And whilst the importance of recylcing remains for a sustainable future, another process 'upcycling' has taken over favour - particularly in the design world.

Upcycling, (according to wikipedia) 'is the process of converting waste materials or useless products into new materials or products of better quality or a higher environmental value.' Unlike recycling, upcycling does not involve the addition of other (often expensive) materials to produce the final product.

Below are some images of upcycling in used in the home.
